The Ajax validation examines whether each mandatory field has inputs. It also checks whether, all the field with validations, inputs entered are valid while the next button is clicked at the Checkout steps. It is a built-in feature. Validation happens when a user navigates from one-step to another via Next/ Previous Button.
Note: If Forward Navigation on Step Click is enabled, the user will have the option to navigate between steps via Step Title click other than the default option. If the user opted step title click to navigate, the ajax validation will not be functional. .
Following are the important aspects of Ajax Validations:
- For mandatory default fields or mandatory custom fields(created using Checkout Field Editor for WooCommerce Pro plugin), Ajax validations will prompt the default WooCommerce notification for the required field while no value is inputted.
- The default validations(Ex: Email) or custom validations(Validations applied using Custom field validator or Confirm field validator feature of Checkout Field Editor for WooCommerce Pro plugin), Ajax validations will prompt the notification while the value entered is not valid. The default WooCommerce message will be displayed as the notice in case of default fields and the Validator message will be displayed as the notice in case of custom fields.
